We are proud to be offering a fully regulated, Nurse led ear care clinic in the South Tyneside and Sunderland area.

Our clinic is based in the heart of Whitburn Village and provides an environment that is relaxed and responsive to patients needs.

We are passionate that ear care should be accessible to all patient groups, by also offering mobile clinics to care facilities and the house bound. Crystal Clear was founded by our experienced registered Nurse Rebecca Shields, with over 15 years of providing ear care in the community. Rebecca always strives to deliver the highest standard of care to patients and prioritises a personalised and holistic approach to ear care and wax removal.

I attended due to a blocked ear due to ear wax build up. I can only say that this is a brilliant service for the community. I can't recommend it highly enough. Rebecca was very positive, knowledgeable, professional and is clearly excellent at her job. She explained everything clearly and the treatment (microsuction and irrigation) resolved the problem. I had not been able to hear fully in one ear for 5 days and I am now back to normal, what a relief. Overall, a very positive experience.

Second visit to Crystal Clear Ear clinic today, had previously been with my daughter and was so happy with the outstanding care I didn’t hesitate to book myself in after being told by my doctors that my ear was impacted with wax.Once again a very professional service, so knowledgeable and Rebecca has great attention to detail. Unfortunately I had been misdiagnosed and my ear was in fact severely infected. Rebecca communicated quickly with my GP surgery ensuring that I got the correct care.

Extremely helpful appointment for wax removal. Rebecca is a very experienced and knowledgeable practitioner with a friendly and reassuring manner. The suction procedure was painstaking and painless and I was left with good advice for future care. The icing on the cake was a detailed report including images inside both ears, which was dispatched next day to my GP. Excellent.

The clinic is immaculate, and clinician professional and thorough.I was never happy having to pay for a service I've paid into all my life. However, the end result is much improved and the suction technology removes the need for two weeks of oil drops prior to appointment.Well worth a visit.Mel. C

I had severe solid wax in one ear. It was cleaned out quickly and without any discomfort, the whole procedure clearly explained beforehand. Advice was then given on how to prevent further occurence. I have already recommended the clinic to a relative.

I visited for the first time today and I have to say, Rebecca was professional, informative and so lovely and friendly. I arrived with blocked ears and left hearing perfectly again after Rebecca had worked her magic. The clinic is spotlessly clean and welcoming. Going 'private' for better hearing would be expensive right?..Wrong!!Not only is Rebecca reassuringly INEXPENSIVE, she's incredibly attentive, professional and informative.At a time, where waiting for an NHS appointment can actually worsen your hearing prospects, Rebecca's service is a genuine lifeline.Her aftercare goes the extra mile too.

Once again Rebecca has been excellent in dealing with both my father in law and mother in law, who has vascular dementia and hates anyone touching her ears! Having asked Rebecca to initially cut her hair, she screamed before anything was even near her ears. Rebecca was so patient and understanding of her condition and responses I could not fail to highly recommend her. This is our second visit for both and I would not go anywhere else, what a lovely lady and so professional.

Squeezed me in at short notice to help as I’m a singer who relies heavily on hearing. Was able to resolve my problem and suggest best way to maintain ears to prevent, or at least reduce reoccurrence. Lovely, friendly experience too. I found the suction treatment much better than past irrigation experiences too, both with NHS and private, and thought it was well worth the cost.
